The City of Thorp requires approved permits and licenses for various reasons. These applications must be printed and brought to city hall during normal operational hours for approval. You can contact city hall at (715)669-5371.

Before You begin

The documents below are applications only and do not provide approval until formally given by the City of Thorp.

Building Permit

This is an application only, and is not authorization to start construction. This application will be reviewed by the Building Inspector, and if approved, a building permit will be issued. Depending on the project, the applicant may be asked to provide a set of plans or diagram showing the planned area and dimensions of the project.

Dog License

Dog licenses can be purchased by visiting city hall during normal business hours or via mail. In order to issue a license, the vaccination certificate signed by the veterinarian must be presented along with $5.00 per spayed/neutered dog and $10.00 per non-spayed/non-neutered dog.

Operators License

If you are looking to serve alcohol within Thorp, then you must apply for an Operators License with our application which you download below. This document must be notarized and brought to city hall during normal business hours.

Park Reservations

To check on availability of a park and to make a reservation, please call or stop in to City Hall. A fee of $100.00 must received to secured the reservation.
